Q. Will I need to get a new MASTERCARD Debit Card?

No, all debit cards will continue working. In June 2016, Vocal CU will implement EMV chip technology. Cards expiring 6/16 will be issued a new Vocal EMV card. We will only reissue a new debit card when your current debit card expires. If you would like a new Vocal Debit Card, please come see us.


Q. Will I need to get a new VISA Credit Card?

Vocal will be moving to a new Credit Card processor and will issue everyone a new Vocal Visa Credit card. These new credit cards will have the EMV chip in them. The old Trico Visa Credit Card will continue to work although we encourage everyone to start using their new EMV card. If you need help activating your new Vocal Credit Card, please stop by or call. The old Trico Credit Card will be deactivated as soon as the new Vocal Credit Card is activated. They will also be real time, which means their funds will be available immediately, purchases will also post immediately (just like debit cards).


Q. What is EMV?

EMV is the most recent advancement in the initiative to combat fraud. The card is embedded with a microprocessor chip that stores the cardholder information more securely than cards with a magnetic strip. You will be asked to insert your card into the point of sale terminal instead of the traditional card swipe.


Q. Will I need to get new checks?

No, all checks will continue to run through your account as normal. There is currently no date they will stop working. When you run out of your current checks the new order will have the Vocal Credit Union logo.


Q. Do I need to change the information with my payroll/companies I pay?

No, the routing number and your account number will remain the same. This name change will not affect ACHs.


Q. Can I still mail my deposits/payments to the current PO Box?

Yes, both our PO Box and Address will remain the same.


Q. Will my money still be insured?

Yes, every member will continue to be insured the same way it is now for $250,000 through the National Share Insurance Fund (NSIF). There is no change.


Q. Will the web address be different?

Our new website is vocal.coop. You can continue to use the old Trico website and be rerouted to our new website.


Q. Will your email addresses change?

Yes, they will now be name@vocal.coop. For now emails being sent to the old Trico email address will be forwarded to the new email addresses.


Q. Will the phone/fax numbers change?

No, you can continue to call 442.1421 and fax documents to 442.6123


Q. Are Vocal’s business hours the same?

Yes. The lobby will remain open 9-5 M-F. The drive up will open at 7:30 MTWF and 9 on Thursday. It will stay open until 5:30 MTWT and 6 on Fridays, and 9-1 on Saturdays.


Q. Will your products and services change?

We will continue to offer the same products and services. It is our hope that through this charter change we can offer more products in the future.


Q. Will my online banking username and password change?

No, they will remain the same.


Q. Will the Bill Pay site remain the same? Will I have to reenter the payees/reoccurring payments I have set up?

The Bill Pay site will remain the same; it will have an updated look. You will not be required to reenter any information.


Q. Is this a merger?

No, Trico has not been absorbed by any other Credit Union. Same great Credit Union, Same great staff, Same great service.


Q. Is anyone losing his or her job?

No.
